Ingredients :
- 1-1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1-1/2 pounds bulk Italian sausage
- 3 cans stewed tomatoes
- 2 cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 large green pepper, chopped
- 1 can tomato paste
- 2 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1-1/2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Sour cream, optional
Directions :
- In a Dutch oven, cook beef and sausage over medium heat until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes, breaking into crumbles; drain. Add next 15 ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring frequently. If desired, serve with additional jalapeno and sour cream.
