Ingredients :
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- SAUCE:
- 1/4 cup butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup Louisiana-style hot sauce
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
Directions :
- Preheat oven to 425°. Line a 15x10x1-in. baking pan with foil or parchment. Pour butter and oil over foil; brush to coat evenly.
- Using a sharp knife, cut through the 2 wing joints; discard wing tips. In a large bowl, combine baking powder, salt and garlic powder; add wing pieces, a few at a time, and toss to coat; shake off excess.
- Place on prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden brown, 30-35 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine sauce ingredients over medium heat. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Brush wings with half the sauce. Cook until browned and juices run clear, 8-10 minutes longer. Brush with remaining sauce.
