Blackened Shrimp

Blackened doesn't mean burnt. It means shrimp that are so flavorful, you'll want to use them in everything! Here's how to make blackened shrimp with homemade blackened seasoning.

Ingredients :
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1-1/2 pounds uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • Lemon wedges
Directions :
  1. In a large bowl, combine the first 8 ingredients. Add shrimp; toss to coat.
  2. In a large cast iron or heavy-duty skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp; cook and stir until shrimp turn pink and edges are browned. Serve with lemon wedges.
