Keto Cheesecake

If you don’t have a springform pan, you can use a 10-inch round cake pan instead. However, keep in mind that getting the cheesecake out of the pan will be tricky and may cause your cheesecake top and crust to crack a bit. If you do decide to go this route, line the inside of the cake pan with parchment and leave a 2-inch overhang of paper so the cheesecake can be pulled out after it’s refrigerated. Instead of one big 10-inch round pan, you could also use two 8-inch round pans.

Slow-Cooker Cinnamon Roll Pudding

To avoid this, be sure to beat the eggs well before adding them to the pudding mixture. If you simply crack them into the slow cooker, the whites and yolks can separate leading to an eggy-tasting bread pudding.

BLT

Sides like pickles, potato chips, potato salad, french fries, pasta salad, fresh crudites, creamy coleslaw or broccoli slaw are all fabulous to pair with BLTs.

Red, White and Blue Cheesecake Salad

Lean into the vintage theme and serve this cheesecake salad with vintage recipes from the ’50s, like chicken amandine and stuffed celery. For a Fourth of July potluck, serve it with Kansas City-style ribs and macaroni salad. Of course, once you’ve tried the cheesecake salad, you might just like it enough to serve it for dessert after any summer dinner in your repertoire. Think of it as cheesecake without the trouble of a crust.

Vegan Red Beans and Rice

For a different twist, serve the bean-and-rice combo as a side dish for a meaty main event, like Cajun catfish or fried pork chops. Use these southern fried chicken tips, and then put a piece of your crispy creation on top of each rice-and-bean bowl. Round out the meal with slices of sweet potato cake.

Fairy Bread

If you have a child’s birthday party coming up, fairy bread should definitely be on the menu. Serve it alongside a few other colorful recipes and desserts with sprinkles, such as rainbow strawberries, frozen banana cereal pops and a rainbow snack platter. Wash it all down with a pitcher of one of our punch recipes for kids and you’ll have a house full of happy tummies ready to celebrate.

Vegan Collard Greens

Try collard greens alongside southern okra bean stew, contest-winning three-bean soup or black-eyed peas ‘n’ pasta. If you’re into eating meat, the greens are great with Big John’s chili-rubbed ribs, smoked pork butt or barbecue chicken sandwiches.

Sephardic Date Charoset

While we use almonds in this charoset recipe, walnuts and apples are traditional in many Ashkenazi charoset recipes. You can also use pecans or pine nuts.

Over-Easy Eggs

Your egg yolks may be breaking during flipping for a few reasons. Metal spatulas are sharper and can make the yolk break easily when the spatula is scooped underneath. We recommend using a silicone spatula rather than a metal one. Also, when learning how to make an over-easy egg, be gentle with your egg flip. Try to be as close to the pan as possible and turn your wrist slowly.
